Network Infrastructure

Networks that stay up.

Structured cabling, managed switches and whole-site Wi-Fi designed around real load - not consumer routers borrowed from home. Scale-ready from day one.

Overview

Your network is the spine everything else runs on. Cameras, VoIP, access control, cloud apps, guest WiFi, meeting-room tech - if the network drops, it all drops. Most 'business networks' are consumer-grade kit jammed into a cupboard, untested under load, with no way to diagnose what's actually wrong when things slow down.

We do proper networking. Structured Cat6/Cat6a cabling with documented patching. Managed switches you can actually administrate. VLAN segmentation so guest traffic doesn't mix with cameras, which doesn't mix with VoIP. Whole-site mesh WiFi with seamless roaming. And every cable run tested and recorded.

What's included

  • Structured cabling - Cat6, Cat6a and fibre backbone
  • Clean, labelled patch panels with documented port maps
  • Managed switches (Ubiquiti, Aruba, MikroTik as appropriate)
  • VLAN segmentation - corporate, guest, IoT, voice, cameras
  • Whole-site mesh Wi-Fi with seamless roaming
  • Guest Wi-Fi with branded captive portal
  • UPS backup on core switches
  • Remote monitoring and managed-service option

Typical Scope

How a network project runs

Typical network project: 1-3 weeks for a small office, 4-8 weeks for a multi-building or large deployment.

01

Site mapping

Walk the site with floor plans. Identify desk positions, AP locations, cable paths, cabinet position and service entry points.

02

Cabinet & rack design

Written rack layout - switches, patch panels, UPS, labelling plan. Cable pull schedule. Equipment list with a fixed quote.

03

Install & test

Cable pulls (typically after-hours for occupied offices), termination, patch-panel build, AP mounting, VLAN configuration, switch config.

04

Document & hand over

As-built network diagram, VLAN map, port numbering, credentials, plus a monitoring portal if you want the ongoing managed service.

Ideal For

Who this suits

Any site where the network needs to actually carry real load reliably.

Growing offices

SMEs outgrowing consumer routers and needing a real managed network.

Premium homes

Large houses with cameras, streaming, automation and multiple devices needing proper coverage.

Farms and multi-building sites

Properties where buildings are far apart and consumer WiFi can't cover it all.

Sites hosting servers

Offices with on-prem servers needing VLAN segmentation and 10GbE backbone.

FAQ

Common questions

Mesh WiFi or separate access points?

Properly deployed access points with a managed controller (Ubiquiti/Aruba) outperform consumer mesh every time. 'Mesh' is a useful term for consumer kit; business-grade controllers do the same roaming and much more besides.

Cat6 or Cat6a?

Cat6 covers most installs today. Cat6a is worth paying for on core runs, new builds, and anywhere 10GbE is on the roadmap. We specify per-cable rather than blanket choosing.

Do you run fibre?

Yes - between buildings, between floors, or for high-bandwidth server links. Multi-mode for short runs, single-mode for longer or future-proofed ones.

Do you manage the network after install or hand it over?

Your choice. We can hand everything over with documentation, or run it as a managed service with remote monitoring, alerts and proactive updates.

What happens when we add more desks?

We leave spare cable capacity in trays and patch panels, spare switch ports, and room in the rack for expansion. Adding desks is a quick job, not a rebuild.
